The Trinity Dragon ch.6

Zachariah was sleeping next to Ireena, who was cuddling with him. He was deeply dreaming.

It was late, the night sky was pitch black, with the moon being the only light, illuminating the temple. Little Zachariah was sleeping in his own room, until a figure entered the room. It crept up to the bed as the small dragon was sound asleep. The figure nudged him, waking him up.

"Huh? Who's there?", Zachariah asked. He looked up to see a red dragoness staring at him in tears. "Oh mom it's you." He then noticed her crying. "Mommy what's wrong?", he asked worriedly.

The red dragoness did her best to hold her tears back, but failed. She hugged Zachariah tightly and looked at him and said, "Zachariah everything that I've done is to protect you. No matter how things change, never forget who you are?"

"Mommy what's going on? You're scaring me.", he said.

"I love you Zachariah.", she said as she left the room.

Zachariah went after her. She saw him chasing after her and took flight in the night sky as quickly as she could. Zachariah tried to fly after her, but wasn't able to, for his wings weren't fully developed. "Mommy!", he cried out. She ignored his cry and kept flying til she was a glimpse in the sky. "Mommy! Mommy!!!"

Zachariah woke up covered in sweat. Tears were falling off his mug. Ireena was now wide awake, and her attention was towards her mate. Zachariah hugged Ireena.

"It's okay, Zachariah. You're awake now. It's okay.", she said to him softly.

Zachariah stared into her sapphire eyes and softly kissed her.

Elsewhere...
Spyro, Cynder, and Jericho walked towards back to the dragon temple. Even though Spyro's powerful energy kept the world in place. Most of the lands are forever scared  by Malefor's doing. Even so, life was immediately returning to normal, as animals began emerging from their safe havens. All three of the dragon took flight to the floating temple.

The trio of dragons landed in front of the temple. It seemed alien, foreign, unfamiliar to Jericho. His heart started racing with anticipation. Standing in front of the home of his enemy. Suddenly he heard a voice around the corner.

"SPYRO!!!!!", shouted a voice.

Spyro's eyes widened as a pink dragoness jumped out of the corner. "Aw sh-"

"Hey Spyro.", said a red dragon following the pink dragoness.

Spyro shrugged. "Hi Ember. Hey Flame.", he said.

Ember then noticed Cynder standing next to Spyro. "Oh you're still here?", she said.

"What's that supposed to mean?", Cynder replied.

"I figured you would have left him again like last time.", Ember said.

"Well don't count on it, pinky. Spyro loves ME, and I feel the same way about him."

"Spyro what?" She looked back at him again. "Spyro what is she saying? Is it true? Do you really love her?"

Spyro gulped, he took a deep breath. "Ember...I'm in love with Cynder. I'm sorry that's just the way it is. I like you, but not in that way.", he said.

She ran up to him and hugged him. "Oh Spyro. What has she done to you. Did she hit you on your head? Or did she use her evil magic?"

"Excuse me? Get off him. He doesn't love you. He loves me, can't you see it?", Cynder said trying to reason with her.

"No! You stay away from him, you hear me. You she-devil.", she said.

Cynder had enough of it. She rammed into Ember knocking her away from Spyro.

Ember tumbled over to Flame. "Ember are you alright?", he asked.

She completely ignored him and turned her attention back to Cynder.

Jericho sensed that now that he showed leave. He quietly snucked away from them. He climbed up a tree and hid from them.

"Why you bit-", she was interrupted.

Volteer appeared outside of the temple, with Jolt following behind him. "Now now young ones. No fighting here on this sacred ground. You're friends, act like it not enemies." Jolt snickered behind his father.

Ember let out a grunt of disappointment. "This isn't over. Come on Flame, let's go.", she said. Flame did so and followed her.

"Thanks Volteer. I thought this was gonna turn ugly for a second there.", Spyro said.

"You're welcome Spyro." He turned towards Cynder. "Oh Cynder, I do believe your father is looking for you."

"Thank you Volteer.", she said. Volteer nodded and continued walking away. Jolt continued to follow him. Cynder let out a grunt. "I swear that prissy pink dragon is gonna get beat one day.", Cynder said.

"Hey Cynder...Where's Jericho?", Spyro said.

Both dragon looked around, but there was no trace of the dragon anywhere. It's as if he vanished from thin air.
